Our Hollywood students are seeing a lot of sights this summer, but they are also doing lots of reading! These next pictures are from Charlie, an incoming Kindergartner and Anna, and incoming third grader. During this summer adventure, they got to spend time with their Grandfather in Baltimore, which is about 86 miles from Hollywood Elementary School.  |

While in Baltimore Anna and Charlie got to tour the Liberty Ship John W. Brown. This is the same type of ship that their Great-Grandfather served on while in the Merchant Marines during World War II. Anna and Charlie had to wait a bit before the tour began, so they passed the time by reading. This is something that I would have done when I was their age. Even today, I still carry a book with me wherever I go. You never know when you are going to have a spare moment!
